Relais Hotel Centrale "Dimora Storica"

Breakfast was absolutely superb. An incredible amount of food to choose from: cakes and pastries, yogurts and fruit, cereal, meats and cheeses, juices, hot drinks, and of course a breakfast menu of hot dishes. Location was excellent, right in the centre so close by to everything but on a quiet street so not kept up by loud sounds outside. Super close to the train station too. Staff were fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay so much that we paid for an extra night, and the staff were kind enough to let us stay in the same room. Hotel is exceptional. Way fancier than I ever imagined. Beautiful artwork in the room as well as around the hotel. Each room is named after a famous Italian, which I thought was a really nice touch. Great amenities, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, hairdryer, bath robe, shower cal, tweezers, nail file, as well as cotton buds and pads! Rooms are incredibly spacious. High ceilings and beautiful furniture. The bathroom is wonderful, modern, with warm water and heated towel rack. As we went in January, it was a little nippy at night. Heating wasn't super great as it's a large room, however big fluffy blankets are kept in the wardrobe which were very cosy and kept us warm at night.

The personnel were all friendly and professional. The front desk staff made excellent recommendations for lunch and dinner. Luan, in the breakfast area, was fantastic. Helped with our bags, made a terrific cappuccino and asked about our adventures every day. The room was beautiful. We had a Jr. suite and the size was perfect. Lovely seating area and a nice spa tub. Location was great, just around the corner from the big sites.

The location was perfect. Off the Main Street in the tourist area, and sites, near train station, bus station. This enables taking day trips to other towns, tours.. The breakfast menu was great. Staff personable, helpful, accommodating.

The property is very centrally located: four blocks from the central train station (and a 20 minute tram to the airport for about $2.00) and 2 1/2 blocks from Il Duomo. The room was very quiet and the front desk extremely helpful. A large breakfast is served every morning, including the usual spread of meats, fruits, cereals, and pastries. In addition, there are several hot dishes and several coffees made to order. The dining room staff is equally friendly. (One thing to note: Florence charges an occupancy tax of approximately $4.00 per person per night. If you pre-pay your hotel, this charge will be collected on checkout.)

Breakfast was very good. Staff was very helpful and courteous. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the location was fantastic!
